In joining the Society, your gifts will become part of the Ghostlight Endowment Fund and will be used to fulfil the mission of the charity, including making emergency and counseling grants to your industry colleagues.

Ghostlight Society members will receive invitations to Behind the Scenes events; a membership certificate, suitable for framing; a special Behind the Scenes Ghostlight Society pin, created exclusively for members by jewelry designer Susan Barth; and recognition on the website and in Behind the Scenes publications.

Ways you can establish a Behind the Scenes legacy gift

All Gifts shall be subject to our Gift Acceptance Policy

Bequests

Designate Behind the Scenes in your Will to be the beneficiary of a specific amount of money, a percentage of your estate, or property or other asset. A gift through your will does not affect your assets in your lifetime and may provide an estate tax charitable contribution deduction.

Stock Transfer

Transfer stock or other marketable securities and the proceeds from the sale will be invested in the Ghostlight Endowment Fund. If you donate stock that you bought over a year ago, and that has increased in value, you should be able to take a charitable deduction for the fair market value on the day you donate it to Behind the Scenes. Insurance Policies

Name Behind the Scenes as a beneficiary of the proceeds of a life insurance policy. You may also purchase a policy and designate Behind the Scenes as the owner and beneficiary of the policy.

Retirement Plans

Designate Behind the Scenes as a beneficiary of the proceeds of your retirement plan.

Planned Giving Legacy Gifts

Establish a Life-Income Gift or other planned giving option available to Behind the Scenes donors. Your estate planning may include options such as: Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Lead Trust, and Life Estate Reserved.
