Support BTS by Donating Cryptocurrency

It’s even easier to support your colleagues in need!

Behind the Scenes now accepts cryptocurrency donations. This includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Z-cash (ZEC), Filecoin (FIL), Dogecoin (DOGE), or any tokens currently accepted on the Gemini Exchange.

The IRS classifies cryptocurrencies as property, so cryptocurrency donations to 501(c)3 charities receive the same tax treatment as stocks. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax-efficient ways to support your favorite cause. Please contact your tax or financial advisor for more information.

If you provide an email you will automatically receive a donation receipt from our crypto platform, The Giving Block, once you submit your donation.
