Apply for a Scholarship to Attend Mental Health First Aid
"Train the Trainer" Training

Behind the Scenes is offering a limited number of full and partial scholarships to cover the $2,200 cost of the “Train the Trainer” training. In addition, scholarship awardees will receive two hours of coaching from Bryan Huneycutt, our current trainer, specific to tailoring the material for entertainment industry members.

Eligibility requirements for BTS scholarship applicants:

  • Current Certified Mental Health First Aider
  • Minimum of three years entertainment industry experience or strong personal connection to the industry
  • Prior experience as a trainer or learning facilitator
  • Attest to financial need
  • Detailed explanation of why you are seeking this training opportunity

Scholarship awardees are required to co-facilitate a class with Bryan Huneycutt upon completing the training and then to teach up to six classes for Behind the Scenes within the first year upon receiving their credential. Continued service as a BTS affiliated MHFA trainer may continue after that. Trainers receive a $75 per attendee fee for classes for which they are the sole trainer and Behind the Scenes provides all registration and marketing services.
